Organizers accepting sponsors for 2014 event

Proceeds raised from the Queen Jean Golf Tournament benefit Hospice of Salina, a not-for-profit organization, to help ensure that everyone receives care regardless of their ability to pay. What is the Queen Jean Golf Tournament?

According to tournament organizer Barb Pickrell and the Holzhuter family, "The idea for this tournament came about after our mother passed away at age 84 from Colon Cancer. Hospice of Salina was there for her during her last few months of life, helping her and our family with the life-changing decisions that needed to be made during this period, while helping her to maintain all the independence and dignity she needed in those last days and months."

In tribute to Jean Holzhuter and all the Hospice families, the Annual Queen Jean Memorial Golf Tournament benefits Hospice of Salina, a not-for-profit organization. In 2011, the Holzhuter Family established the Holzhuter Family Endowment Fund for Hospice of Salina. Event proceeds help to ensure that everyone receives care regardless of the ability to pay.
